31 Weeks

Total weight gain: 27 pounds (as of the Doctor on Monday)
Maternity clothes? Absolutely!  I was pleasantly surprised that I still fit into my polka dot dress from over a month ago for the shower this weekend.  Day to day I mostly wear my uniform (which as you can see the shirt is getting tight) and on the weekends I mix it up with my maternity jeans (still just have one pair which are holding up fine) and tops.  Come on spring because I have a lot of cute maxi dressses!
Stretch marks? Unfortunately they are still there and the doctor confirmed it.  It's almost like they mock me in the mirror...they are so purple and angry looking.  I'm still rubbing the lotion on...but at this point I'm not sure it's doing anything.  I did see a "stretch mark" solution on Pinterest that maybe I will try post baby - it involved ground coffee beans and olive oil - could be interesting!
Sleep: Sleep is still not great - and frankly all my pillows are taking over the bed!  Poor Rob :)  I'm usually so tired but then it takes forever to fall asleep because of my restless leg syndrome....and then I'm up again an hour later to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Not one but two showers!  They were both amazing!  On Saturday, my sister Stacy, Lynn, and Liz threw a delightful shower at Biddie's Coach House/Tea Room in old Dublin.  The food was amazing, the decorations adorable (elephant vases with white tulips and hand crafted garland and toppers), scratch off tickets and yummy treats too! All of my girlfriends and some family friends were there - and so generous with their gifts!  Then, on Sunday my co-worker/friend Amanda threw me a work shower with the theme of "You are my Sunshine".  Everything from the silverware, to the plates, and food were yellow!  Egg Salad, fruit salad, deviled eggs, and lemon bars - yum :)  She even planned a children's literature theme - and the game had 50 questions (which I practically aced with a 42/50...high score!)
Anytime I have a doctor's appointment (which is every two weeks at this point) is a highlight too - baby boy's heartrate was 149!
Miss Anything? everything - I am officially at the "uncomfortable" stage, out of breath often & I am really missing being able to put on socks/boots without huffing & puffing.  The nature of my job is making me VERY tired too - the ups and downs of helping preschoolers are not easy on this mama!
Movement: Lots of shifting around and rolls (less kicks) and I assume that's because as baby boy gets bigger there is less room to kick!
Food cravings: Thank goodness the Girl Scout cookies arrived - because I certainly have a sweet tooth!  I also can't get enough chocolate milk, eggs, and these wasabi/soy almonds.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not much
Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Some heartburn at night, lots of lower back pain, many trips to the restroom, and a general need to organize everything!
Belly Button in or out? Still in and hanging on for dear life!
Wedding rings on or off? wedding ring on and still movable!

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY (and so very tired)
Looking forward to: more nursery organization, maternity photos this weekend (what are we going to wear!?), mailing all the thank you notes, finishing some more pages in the baby book, confirming our pediatrician, and starting our birthing classes!!
