10 Happy Things

February is going to be a great month...I already know it!
I mean...it's my birth month, Valentine's Day,
and a nice three day weekend (thanks Presidents!).
Here are are some happy things that are already going on....

A week or so ago we met my friend Lynn and her little
guy Will for some fun at "World of Bounce".
While it was nice to chat (though, I'm not even sure
I would say we got to do much of that)...it was even
more fun to see our little guys with each other.
And, bouncing makes you tired...so nap time was a breeze!

The Athleta catalogue arrived....and I poured
through every page and decided I needed one of everything.

Rob and I found ourselves alone last Wednesday
evening (thanks to a sleepover with Mims and Grandpa at Titi's house)!
We used this time to rearrange and add some new
pieces to the gallery wall in Max's room.  There is sort
of a transportation. family, love, Zoo theme going on in there.

I'm not sure if it's the cold, dry winter weather
or the "color my bath" tabs we use...but Max's skin
has been pretty dry lately.  His little bum
was bright red!  Thankfully, Mims was concocting some
oily goodness and made him this chapped cheek cream.
It's actually delightful....smells like lavendar...
and can be applied all over! It worked really well.

Sent Daddy this happy snap of his two favorite
people last Thursday morning! I love
Max's one curl that is sticking straight up...
and he stole my hat!  It's very hipster looking on him.

We are still reading stories on the bed every night!

Not only did we make the transition to the big boy bed...
Max gave up his pacifier on Friday evening. He did
it pretty willingly...but then didn't realize that it wouldn't be
coming back (cue the sad music). But, the pacifier fairy
did reward him pretty heavily with some Paw Patrol stuff
and playdough numbers set (she/he was randomly at Walmart
on a Friday evening....go figure :)  I'm hoping his bedtime
routine goes back to normal soon...but until then it's been
waaaaaay crazy.

Ohio has been having some unusual winter weather...
it was in the high 50's on Saturday.  We took
advantage by vising the Zoo.
Can you spot Max in the Shelter sign?
I was hoping this trip would wear him out
and he would nap blissfully but alas...there
was no nap on Saturday. RIP Paci.

The gorgeous weather kept up all day Sunday too -
so there were multiple trips to the Park....
and time spent outside.

Max was very content to chalk up our driveway and the
sidewalk.  I was amazed he was into this for so long.
And again - those curls exploding out of the front
of his hat, might be my favorite.

Max's new favorite thing at the "nuggie store"
(aka Wendy's) - is getting a chocolate
junior frosty. Yum!

I hope your February is off to a great start too!
xoxo
