3 Months

We do not have a scheduled doctor's appointment for three months so we are guessing a bit at his stats...but suffice it to say he's a growing boy!

Weight: 15 lbs 2 oz

Length: 25.5 inches

Answers to: Max Max, mjh, Boo Bear, Maxster,
tiny man, and wee one

Often seen: wearing a bib because of the constant drool, hanging out on his exercise mat, practicing tummy time, and giving lots of  flirty social smiles

Man, we love this kid!

This month brought the dreaded return to work (womp, womp) but so far we have been adjusting quite well.  I think it truly helps me to know that Rob can pick him up so much earlier than I could.  And, they always send me pictures of their adventures (or naps) - and you know I love that. We are also so lucky to have found a daycare provider who we love and who LOVES Max!! I have taken to calling daycare "school" because it makes me feel better.  My parents also watch Max one day a week and we call that day "homeschool" :)  Everyone says how happy he is all the time - so we are truly blessed that he is quite content to go with the flow!

For awhile Max was sleeping almost 9 hours everynight - but a few days before his three month mark, began waking again to eat with gusto in the middle of the night (around 1 or 2am).  It doesn't bother us much - because he truly seems hungry.  Also around this time he started taking a longer afternoon nap - so we are thinking maybe it's all related to a three month growth spurt.

His face has also started to light up when he sees us (dare I say he recognizes us?) - and this makes my heart want to explode! He is certainly more aware of all the dangling objects on his exercise mat and takes the occasional swing at some...but actually likes to hold onto the elephant.  When we aren't practicing tummy time - we are singing, singing, and singing.  Max's favorite songs include "Old McDonald", "Itsy Bitsy Spider" "Shoo Fly" and "He's got the Whole World" :)  Literally he can go from sad to happy with merely a change in tune!

Perhaps the best thing that is happening is his constant stream of coos (though we call it yodeling)!  He watches us and then sometimes it almost seems he is mimiking us.  He also gurgles and giggles during our singing sessions - truly precious!
(Yodel-A-Hee-Who....)

What a Great Month!
xoxo
