Just wanted to pop in and mention that I went to the doctor this morning (when you are 36 weeks - you begin to go once a week). We got to hear the baby's heartbeat - 124...which freaked me out because it was a lot slower than last week. Basically my doctor said that the bigger the baby gets, the lower their heart rate can go. (She likened this to an elephant...but I'm trying to forget that part). The doctor did not seem concerned so I'm choosing not to be either. (My new motto is "everything will work out"). She did the required cervical check - and I'm the same as I was last week. Boo. Still 2 cm. and 75% effaced. So, I will continue to walk, walk, walk, and stay as active as possible (when all I want to do is nap). :) I did mention that I was hoping to have the baby before May 1...as our Zoo insurance changes on May 1 from a PPO plan to an HRA plan. To my surprise, my doctor said that could probably be arranged (if nothing happens before that)! I have another appointment next Monday (April 22)...so possibly we will talk about inductions at that point. Time will tell....and I will just have to put on my patience pants (though, I may have outgrown those about 6 months ago...hahaha!)
