As you know (from all that kicking you did while we were on the airplane) - we traveled this past weekend to Phoenix Arizona! I was worried about pretty much everything from ...will I throw up on the plane (like last November) to am I hurting you by traveling this late in the pregnancy to will any of my summer clothes fit?! However, we overcame and prevailed in true Hauck fashion :) One of the best parts of travel this time was Southwest airlines let me have a "medical preboard" pass. With this golden ticket, your dad and I literally boarded the plane before anyone else. #winning This also allowed me to pick an aisle seat, make friends with the airline stewards/stewardesses, and be two steps from the bathroom. It was SO amazing...I can basically never go back to "B" boarding group again. (Also, there was a dad carrying his screaming 18 month old on the plane offering everyone ear plugs and free drink tickets...perhaps we will need to be doing this in a couple months??)
We flew into Phoenix on Thursday night and basically spent the next four days soaking up the sunshine, hitting the outlet malls, enjoying some fine Mexican cuisine, your dad hit the golf course, and I turned 31 (or 29 forever as I like to call it). Memaw and Pops (to be featured at a later date) were a little tied up with with your Great Grandma Noelle (she's 90!)...but we made the best of things and your Uncle Nick and Aunt Cassie really helped us have lots of fun!
One of the best parts of the trip was hanging out with your cousin Charlotte! It's crazy to believe that I met this sweet girl when she was just 4...she was adorable then and has grown into quite the little lady over the past four years.

(Charlotte as the flower girl at our wedding April 2011)
-Meeting her hamster Butterscotch...who we both agree is the cutest thing ever
-Shopping for new clothes at the outlet malls and spending what your dad might argue is too much at my new favorite store (and Charlotte's) Naartjke.
-Dining together at Sauce, YogurtBerry (mutual love of frozen yogurt and toppings bar of course) and El Encanto (Charlotte has quite the sophisticated palette and loves mint chocolate chip ice cream just like your dad)
-Seeing her go from very wobbly on her new skateboard (a Valentine's gift) to a very skilled boarder (again...something she has in common with your dad??? His skateboard is still hanging in the garage)
-Coloring together...I mean who doesn't love coloring? It's my jam. Charlotte loves all kinds of crafts...I see some scrapbooking in her future!
-Exploring the Phoenix Zoo - we decided to visit on Sunday... Charlotte talked non stop the whole way there and has so much energy (wish I could bottle that up right now). Her and Uncle Rob climbed the tower to look out over all the African animals. Very sweet :)
-She also likes to randomly grab my hand and hold it - it pretty much melts my heart
-And over the course of the weekend she suggested no fewer than 100 names for you baby! Some of her favorites were Toby, Woody, Bubba, and Tony. Clearly we are considering all of those.

Needless to say - I think you two are going to get along just great. She will be a great pal to you! She will teach you soooo much (how to stay in the lines when coloring, how to skateboard...heck she may even give you a violin concert..and she is learning Madarin at school right now)! She can't wait to meet you and I can't wait for you to meet her :) The only thing left for me to do is convince Uncle Nick and Aunt Cassie to move just a wee bit closer....say Mason, Ohio (where Cintas is head quartered??!!) Good times ahead indeed.
